My name is Thomas Hochstetter. I put this blog up mostly to keep my friends up to date and share the odd oddity with them.
Further, i will aim to eventually extend this to be a good platform for GERMAN Christian resources.
Something about me:
I am born in 1977 (you do the maths), was raised in Germany and at the age of 21 moved to South Africa. I followed a girl, but it eventually became clear that it was God who brought me there. I got saved from my rebellion against my creator in 2004.
I had to see that Jesus really died for MY sins, not only as an abstract concept, but as a reality. I had to see that it is absolutely unfair and not right that the sinless should pay for my wrong doings. But that is what He did. And it was the ONLY way for me to be reconciled to the creator of the universe.
Praised be Jesus for His amazing grace! It is by His choosing alone that i could come. I did not merit this or in any way deserve it. I was saved by pure grace.
I am now back in Germany to serve my Saviour and God by helping at the EBTC (European Bible Training Center) to train faithful preachers and loving leaders for Christ’s church, His body.
God has drawn me back to my country of birth by showing me the spiritual darkness it is in. I love my people and my Saviour, and hate to see them at war with each other.
This blog will (God willing) become a part in sharing resource to give witness about the reality of God in a society which has left its Christian roots far behind, long ago.
