So now i have almost behind me the first week at work. It was good. I got swamped by some unpleasant work, my boss called it “dead bodies”. Basically i have to dig up old support cases and see what happened to them … some are from last year December. Pshh.
Anyway, i am thankful for the work i have. Today i was at a client, developing. Yay. I love developing, but i am also committed to the support vision that Jens (my boss – in case you want to put a name to your prayer) has for it. I see the importance of it in keeping clients and giving them “peace of mind”.
I went jogging yesterday, now for the 3rd time. The first 2 times i was ok, although we went 10km. But yesterday was TERRIBLE! My back hurt most of the time, but i persisted. Great? No. Because today i have such backaches … from hell. I am getting old now … o dear. What happened with all the time i had?
Tomorrow i am driving through to Essen (about 350km) to see my boss there. It will be fun and a good change of scenary. He wants me to come through relatively often. If i had known that we can get rent cars from work so easy i would have used that. But now i take my mom’s car with which i am driving around at the moment. Afterward i’ll drive another 250km to see my sister for a day or so. And the 350km back. Sigh. It won’t help my back.
I miss you all very much. Especially the Bimmies and Marshal’s, this week.
Anyway. May God bless you and keep you save, wherever you are.

Hi Thomas, Wow technology is SOOOO amazing. Although so far in distance, it feels like you’re just around the corner. Thanks for a brilliant Newsletter and in this way still keeping us part of your life. We look forward to many more. We had a few giggles though – could just picture you dragging your suitcases (shame), and then the pants issue (that is sooo funny).
We often think and pray for you and miss the sweet times of fellowship we had. We’ll continue praying for the salvation of your family and for the work God has sent you to do there. Be strong, faithfull and encouraged (there’s a whole lot of SA’s praying for you).
We’re all well as can be after all being sick with colds. The girls are looking forward to their holiday in 3 weeks and the dogs, well they’re still chewing, chasing and barking. A good sign I think.
Have a blessed Lord’s day tomorrow, and we’ll once again miss you tomorrow…..
All our love
The Marshalls
Hey Thom! Glad we can keep up-to-date with our friend in Germany!! We continue to keep you in our prayers as you fit in again to a culture that’s not quite your own anymore. Keep the newsletters coming!
Lord Bless,
Alli (for the Van Meters)
